What is e-Learning?
In a recent meeting, a group of TVT teachers asked how do we
engage our students, how do we promote the knowledge and skills
that are required in the 21st century? To help answer this
question, the Academic Technology Department at TVT created a
pilot e-Learning program.
Many experts in
the field have indicated that distance, or "e-Learning" has
exploded into an important aspect of education and community
building in the 21st century. As soon as we extend our
borders to go beyond the traditional four walls of a classroom,
a deeper form of learning can begin to take place. With
the TVT e-Learning project, we can now create "off campus - on
demand" learning opportunities available not only to our
students but to the entire community as well.
